Black & Decker Toaster Oven

The Black & Decker brand has been around in the home appliance industry for years, making them one of the most trusted and respected names out there. Consumers interested in a Black & Decker toaster oven are drawn to the stylish exteriors and the promise of high convenience. Their reputation is backed up with a one year warranty on each unit sold.

This line of toaster ovens is more basic when it comes to design and features offered, but they still have a valuable place in the lower end toaster oven market. They are great for consumers who will not use it very often or who only need it to perform basic cooking functions, such as heating things up quickly and toasting.

Black & Decker TRO651 Toast-R-Oven Toaster Oven

This is a space saving design which will not take up much room on the counter, while still holding up to 4 slices of bread. It has a very basic black design with traditional turn style knobs for settings. It is capable of basic broiling, baking, and toasting functions. One rack can be placed on two different levels and it is equipped with a 30 minute timer.

The TRO651 oven has 1200 watts of power and is suitable for very light or occasional use.

Black & Decker TRO390 Toast-R-Oven Toaster Oven

The TRO390 toaster oven is another 1200 watt oven, but it comes with convection cooking. This is feature which uses a small built-in fan to ensure heat is evenly distributed to all areas of the oven. The result is a more even cooking process, which can also speed up the overall cooking time on many foods. It is also equipped with a setting that controls how dark toast will come out.

The Black and Decker TRO390 toaster oven is capable of toasting, baking, broiling, and convection cooking. It has a four slice capacity and a 15 minute timer. It is still recommended for lighter cooking needs, though it does come with some higher advanced cooking capabilities.

Black & Decker TRO962 Toast-R-Oven Toaster Oven

With a nice stainless steel and black design, this 4 slice capacity oven is also recommended for consumers with more basic cooking needs. It has 1350 watts of power and is capable of broiling, cooking, and toasting.

There have been some issues with the Black and Decker TRO962 toaster oven possibly overheating when used for heavy cooking demands, or for too long a period of time. It does have a little more power than the above models, but it is still highly recommended only for light usage.

Black & Decker Textured TRO700 Toaster Oven

The Black & Decker TRO700 also has 1350 watts of power and has the same basic cooking functions as other models featured here: bake, broil, and toast. It accommodates 4 slices of bread easily and comes with convection cooking as well as the toast darkness control. The timer goes up to 60 minutes, and it may be able to sustain a little heavier use than other models mentioned here thanks to more power and the convection feature.

If you have very high demands of a toaster oven, it is likely that a Black & Decker toaster oven may not be the best pick for your kitchen. They are nicely designed and built to last, but they do not have many of the more advanced features that higher priced ovens often come equipped with. They are excellent options for the light cook looking for a unit that will not completely take over available counter space.
